Dato’ FD Iskandar, Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer
Dato’ FD Iskandar is the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Glomac Berhad. He joined the Glomac Group of Companies in 1991, and was appointed to the Board in 1997. Dato’ FD Iskandar obtained his law degree as well as his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Queensland. He serves as the Deputy President of REHDA Malaysia and Director of Malaysia Property Incorporated, a body for promoting property investments among foreigners in Malaysia.
Dato’ FD Iskandar is also Deputy Chairman of the Malaysian Australian Business Council, Chairman of Gagasan Badan Ekonomi Melayu (GABEM), Selangor Branch, a body that promotes entrepreneurship amongst Bumiputras. He is the Co-Chair of the Special Taskforce to Facilitate Business Group (PEMUDAH) on Legal & Services and is also a Member of PEMUDAH Selangor Group. He also sits on the Board of Axis Reit Managers Berhad, Media Prima Berhad and New Straits Times Press (Malaysia) Berhad as well as several private limited companies.
Dato’ FD Iskandar is well-respected for his two decades of experience and involvement in the property development industry. He has been invited as a guest speaker, both locally and internationally, to share his insights on the property market in Malaysia.
First-Class Properties
Although Glomac Berhad has over 40 subsidiaries involved in every aspect of the real estate business, property development has remained the core focus of the Group since its inception. Its past projects include the acclaimed Plaza Kelana Jaya, which won the Asia Pacific Commercial Property Award in association with Bloomberg Television for Highly Commended Best Retail Development (Malaysia) in 2010. To date, Glomac has developed three thriving townships with GDV in excess of RM2bil.
